Emissions Phase Acquiring (EPA) Solutions offers a real-time monitoring that alerts clients
that a power plant or refinery outage or change in activity has occurred. Using
infrared-based technology, we are able to give direct imaging of the power plants or
refineries using micron pixel interpolation with a real time auto alert. The data are then
analyzed using our proprietary software with our patented pending technology. This data is
made available to the clients on a real-time basis.  

Are We Accurate?
The simple answer is YES.  We have monitored gas, coal, base and peaker plants.  When
compared with data from the power plant (Gold Standard) our data shows a 5% average
difference.  We are 100% accurate in determining off or on.

How does it work?
Our technology works because of simple thermodynamics.  We can visualize when a plant
converts heat into electricity.   When a plant starts to produce energy, the first thing that one
will see is consumption of fuel to begin the reaction.  This occurs at least 45 minutes before
electricity is generated.  Because we are able to directly visualize the consumption of fuel,
we can most times determine when a plant starts to operate before electrical is generated.
The same applies to plant shutdown.  When a plant shuts down, the first thing that one
notices is the absence of a thermal reaction.  Once the thermo-kinetic engine is shut down,
momentum and stored potential energy will continue to form kinetic energy for at least 60 to
120 minutes more before electricity production ceases.  Therefore, our technology is able to
detect a shutdown of a plant almost instananeously.
